PRE-TREATMENT CARE FOR LASER HAIR REMOVAL

What to avoid:

  • Discontinue waxing, hair removal creams or chemicals, tweezing, and electrolysis, as well as bleaching your hair SIX WEEKS BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT.
  • Stop using any topical prescription products on areas being treated with the laser THREE DAYS BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT.
  • Avoid incidental or direct sun or tanning of any form. Apply sunblock if you are outside (with at least SPF 50). Use barrier protection such as wide-brimmed hats, sunglasses, and protective clothing. Please call to
  • Reschedule your appointment if you have recent sun exposure. This is all TWO WEEKS BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT.

YOU MUST SHAVE.

Please shave the areas that will be treated before your appointment in the direction the hair grows with a clean razor. If it is an area with finer hair on your face, it is recommended to closely trim the area with a facial hair trimmer. Note that if you arrive unshaved, your appointment will likely be rescheduled or not all areas will be treated.

TIME FOR NO MAKEUP!

Literally, anything you might put on your skin has to be removed from the area being treated before your appointment. This includes makeup, deodorant, lotion, and sunscreen—really anything. Under this circumstance, the ashier and dryer you are, the better. If you forget this requirement, wipes are available.
